Original Autochromes in Stieglitz, Steichen, Stand

The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be displaying five original autochromes by Alfred Stieglitz and Edward Steichen. The dye used to print autochromes is so delicate and sensitive to light, that any exhibition of these photos causes quick and irreversible damage. Therefore, these rare images will only be on view for a few short days ending Sunday, January 30th. Read more...
