Las Rutas de la Pasion, Mexico 1960's - 1970's

This exhibit, highlighting the work of Mexican photographer Antonio Caballero, captures dramatic narratives from hi archive of "fotonovelas". Similar to graphic novels, fotonovelas were popular in Italy, Spain and Latin America from the 1940's through the 1980's. Caballero was introduced to this style of photography in 1963 and soon afterwards fully committed himself to the process he likened to the creation of film. In his role as producer, adapter, director and photographer, Caballero produced 500 fotonovelas in a five year span. Read more...
