Damien Hirst: Medicine Cabinets at L&M Gallery, New York

Damien Hirst: Medicine Cabinets. New Review by KiptonART Contributor, Shannon Gulliver

His sculptures and paintings are always lurking around a corner here in New York, either guarding the courtyard of a corporate headquarters like Lever House on Park Avenue, or gracing the walls of the permanent display at The Met, MoMA, or his mercantile home, Gagosian Gallery. It is as though he is lying in a wait to gross us out with his dead butterflies, piss us off with his self-auctioned and exorbitant prices, and subject us to that withering question from our elders: "How is that art?"
