Opening November 4, the exhibition Sargent and Impressionism features some 30 outstanding oils and watercolors painted by John Singer Sargent in France and England from 1883-1889. On loan from the world's leading public and private collections, the works on view reflect a period when the artist was experimenting en plein air, exploring Impressionist techniques, painting and corresponding with Claude Monet.
