Event Recap: Alexander Charriol's "Human Flow" Opening


Returning to the New York art scene after a two-year hiatus, French-American artist Alexandre Charriol hit the streets of Manhattan on a mission to find a unique space for his most recent series Human Flow.  After an extensive search, the artist discovered the ideal setting to showcase his rebellious and provocative work on East 27th Street.  The area is additionally a host to Anthony Gromley's controversial street installation Event Horizon, and has become a new venue for creative spirits.  Blossoming from a crude commercial plate, the transformation of the Flatiron venue raised the bar for independent artists.
