ART TALK with People Magazine's Deputy Managing Editor Peter Castro

Who are your favorite KiptonART Artists? Why?
Azadeh Ghotbi. The pieces I've seen from this artist inspire thought while not assaulting my senses in a contrived manner which sadly is too often the norm among modern painters.

What is the last exhibition you attended?
History of Rock and Roll Photography at the Brooklyn Museum.

How would you describe the decor in your home?
I have a modern, some might say, masculine aesthetic designed by the incomparable Thom Filicia. Cool pastels and very cool but functional furniture.

What artists most inspire or influence you?
I live and die by Rothko whose paintings mesmerize me and invoke thought but, more important, emotions that I often don't  even realize reside within me. I 'm also a collector of Pop Art, notable Roy Lichtenstein.
