Last night I attended the opening of Marlborough Gallery's "Look Again" group exhibition. The focus of the two-floor exhibit centers on trompe l'oeil works of paintings, photographs and sculptures (you find yourself asking if a picture is a painting and vice versa). Casey Fremont and Karline Moeller curated the space beautifully, balancing each floor with enjoyable works that played with sight. High above the gallery over looking the city was a glass penthouse where guests conversed over the exhibition and current financial revival seen in the art market.
