"The Art of Collecting Art" held at Sotheby's


Thursday night, Sotheby's along with co-host The Economist, held "The Art of Collecting Art" panel discussion led by Richard Feigen, Philip Hook, Inge Reist and Allan Schwartzman, with introduction by Lisa Dennison, Chairman, Sotheby's North & South American. The talk highlighted current activities in the art market. Panel consensus agreed that the Chinese demand for Western art would continue thus driving prices upward. Over one hundred-fifty people were in attendance on the 7th floor of the famed auction house. Shortly thereafter the guests moved to the 10th floor to preview the Old Master works of art that are to be auctioned off from the 27th-29th January, 2010...
