Celebrate Art Basel Miami Beach - Opening Tonight!


Art Basel Miami Beach - the grandest of the annual American art celebrations - opens tonight at the Miami Beach Convention Center with a slew of glamorous and cultural events.

Vernissage - 6 PM - 9 PM - By invitation only, guests are granted an exclusive preview of the art that will be on exhibition for the duration of Art Basel. International leaders of the art world converge with culture gluttons for Art Basel's most glamorous and star-studded evening.

Oceanfront Area Opening - 7 PM - Midnight - Developed for this year's festival, Art Basel Miami Beach, New York-based public-art developer Creative Time, and multimedia artist Pae White have collaborated on the new Oceanfront area. Tonight's opening night celebration will host the annual Art Loves Music concert, featuring Ebony Bones and Amanda Blank. Throughout the duration of the four-day festival, the Oceanfront area will host curated art events nightly.

Bass Museum of Art Reception - 8 PM - 11 PM - Coinciding with the festival's opening night, the Bass Museum of Art will be hosting an invitation-only opening reception for exhibits Where Do We Go From Here?/Selections from La Colleccion Jumex, Dzine, Kent Henricksen: Wayward We Hunt and Selections from the Collection.
