Last night at SoHo Mews, Thom Filicia, Richard Mishaan, and John Saladino unveiled three spaces that each influential designer had decorated, guided by different films as inspiration. Hearst Magazines hosted the event with one of three magazines curating each townhouse: House Beautiful, Town & Country, and Veranda. The evening was an incredible success and not only received a fantastic turnout but provided for interesting exchanges among individuals of diverse professional backgrounds and aesthetic preferences.
The event was particularly exciting for KiptonART as Thom Filicia used three pieces from two of our artists in his "Big Chill"-themed space. The painting "Soho1" by Serge Strosberg, a 2009 KiptonART Rising artist, graced a prominent space on one wall of the living room (pictured left); two paintings by Emily Baker -- "blue mist" and "satin"-- adorned an opposite wall.
Attendees included Anne Dexter Jones, Jackie Astier, Joyce Varvatos, Colin Cowie, Andrew Saffir, Daniel Benedict, Sela Ward, Greg Calejo, and Jennifer Bell.
