Where the Wild Gnomes Are

Just recently I was invited to Gnome World, an installation by a friend of KiptonART, Michael Fredo. This art piece was not in a gallery space or art museum and did not reside in a collector's home, I was heading to the artist's apartment/recording studio. This was intriguing to me as I have always had a soft spot for Gnomes since my 4th grade teacher introduced me to Wil Huygen and Rien Poortvliet's Gnomes. Fredo's apartment was small and tidy with nothing out of the ordinary except a wall full of recording equipment. I could see the kitchen and bathroom and there wasn't much else. Where was Gnome World?
