Jeff Koons to Curate New Museum Exhibit

Jeff Koons - seen most recently with his dog-balloon sculptures - will, for the first time, play curator of an exhibit to show in February 2010 at the New Museum on The Bowery. The exhibit will showcase works from the collection of Greek art collector Dakis Joannou, a close friend of Koons. In fact, the collection, which will make its U.S. debut, includes some of Koons's most iconic pieces. The exhibition will be the first in a series titled "The Imaginary Museum," a chain of events that will showcase private collections of contemporary art that have never before been exhibited publicly.
